1. Definitions

• "Service" — any watch cleaning, diagnostic, servicing, or restoration work carried out by Gearloom.
• "User" / "You" — any person who visits this website or submits a timepiece for service.
• "We / Us / Our" — Gearloom, its staff, and authorised representatives.
• "Content" — all text, images, pricing, and documentation published on this website.
• "Agreement" — these Terms & Conditions in full.
• "Timepiece" — any watch, clock, or mechanical movement you entrust to us.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By using this website or submitting a timepiece for service you confirm that:

• You are at least 18 years of age or have the consent of a legal guardian.
• You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
• You have read and understood these Terms & Conditions.
• You accept them without reservation as a condition of using our services.

3. Service Description

Gearloom offers the following core services at our Bangkok workshop:

• Cleaning & Diagnostic Check — external cleaning and internal inspection with a plain-language condition report.
• Self-Winding Service — full service for automatic movements including cleaning, lubrication, rotor check, and accuracy regulation.
• Complete Restoration & Care Plan — movement overhaul, case work, resealing, and a tailored care schedule with written documentation.

Services are carried out at our Bangkok workshop. We do not currently operate postal or international drop-off services. Availability may vary during public holidays or periods of high demand, and we will communicate any relevant delays promptly.

4. User Responsibilities

When using this website or engaging our services, you agree to:

• Provide accurate contact and ownership information when submitting an enquiry.
• Disclose any known faults, damage history, or modifications to a timepiece before submission.
• Collect your timepiece within 30 days of notification that work is complete.
• Not submit items that are subject to a legal dispute or that you do not own or have authority to authorise for repair.

Prohibited activities on this website include:

• Attempting to access, copy, or reproduce site content for commercial redistribution without permission.
• Submitting false enquiries or fraudulent information.
• Attempting to interfere with the website's functionality or security.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, photographs, illustrations, and service descriptions — is the property of Gearloom and is protected under applicable Thai intellectual property law.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and view this website for personal, non-commercial purposes. This licence does not permit:

• Reproducing, distributing, or commercially exploiting any content without prior written consent.
• Modifying content or creating derivative works based on it.
• Removing or obscuring any copyright or proprietary notices.

6. Payment Terms

All prices are quoted in Thai Baht (฿) and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Our current service rates are:

• A written quotation will be provided before any work beyond a diagnostic check commences.
• Full payment is due upon collection of the completed timepiece.
• We accept cash (THB), bank transfer, and major credit cards.
• If work is declined after a diagnostic has been carried out, the diagnostic fee (฿3,700) remains payable.
• Pricing may be revised with reasonable notice; revisions do not apply to work already quoted in writing.

7. Service-Specific Terms

The following terms apply specifically to our watch repair and restoration services:

• Scope of Work. The scope is confirmed in writing before work begins. Any additional issues discovered during servicing will be communicated to you before further action is taken.
• Turnaround Times. Estimated turnaround times are provided as guidance only and may be affected by parts availability or unforeseen complexity.
• Parts. Where replacement parts are required, we use components appropriate to the movement type. Original manufacturer parts may not always be available for older or discontinued references.
• Uncollected Timepieces. Items not collected within 60 days of completion notification, despite reasonable attempts to contact you, may be subject to a daily storage charge.
• Pre-existing Condition. We document the condition of each timepiece on receipt. We are not liable for faults or damage that pre-existed the service and were recorded at intake.

8. Disclaimers

This website and its content are provided in good faith on an "as is" basis. While we take care to keep information accurate:

• We do not represent that the website will be available without interruption or free from technical errors.
• Service descriptions and pricing are subject to change without notice, though we will honour written quotations.
• We do not offer assessments of watch value, authenticity certification, or insurance appraisal. For these, we recommend engaging a specialist watchmaker or independent valuator.
• Nothing in these terms constitutes professional advice of a legal, financial, or regulatory nature.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Thai law:

• Our total liability for any claim arising from a service shall not exceed the amount paid for that specific service.
• We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses, including loss of use or sentimental value.
• We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including supply disruptions, natural events, or infrastructure failures.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Gearloom, its staff, and representatives harmless from any claims, losses, or costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misrepresentation of ownership or authority over a submitted timepiece, or your violation of applicable law in connection with your use of our services.

11. Termination

Either party may withdraw from a service engagement before work commences, subject to any applicable diagnostic fee. Once work has commenced, termination by the customer does not waive the obligation to pay for work completed to that point.

We reserve the right to decline or discontinue service to any customer who provides false information, breaches these Terms, or whose conduct is deemed harmful to our staff or business.

12. Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. In the event of a dispute:

• We encourage you to contact us directly first so we can resolve the matter informally and promptly.
• If informal resolution is not achieved within 30 days, either party may refer the matter to the Thai Consumer Protection Board or seek resolution through the courts of Bangkok, Thailand.
• Nothing in this clause limits your rights under the Thai Consumer Protection Act B.E. 2522 or other applicable consumer legislation.

13. General Provisions

• Entire Agreement. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Gearloom regarding the subject matter herein, and supersede any prior understanding.
• Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect.
• Waiver. Our failure to enforce any right does not constitute a waiver of that right.
• Assignment. You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our written consent.
• Notices. Formal notices should be sent to our email address below. We will acknowledge receipt within 5 business days.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do:

• The revised version will be published on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
• Changes take effect 14 days after publication unless they are required by law, in which case they take effect immediately.
• Continued use of the website or services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
